With flexographic sleeves, or through flexography, more types of materials can be printed than with any other printing process today. With flexography, printing is possible on plastics, paper, film, metal foils, and many other materials.
Flexographic Sleeves
ROTHTEC® manufactures custom made flexographic sleeves, of either pure nickel, that can be used in the flexographic printing process. The lighter weight of the custom nickel sleeves makes them a user friendly alternative in the flexo printing process, and they are a more cost effective alternative as well.
ROTHTEC® nickel sleeves are available in a variety of diameters, i.e. repeat sizes, and wall thicknesses, depending on the customer’s application. Typically the mother rollers from which the custom sleeves are manufactured are purchased by the customer and remain the customer’s exclusive property. Sleeves are then produced based on the customer’s schedule and needs. If required, sleeves can be coated with a polymer.
